    Tairgeoir Fola Empty Tairgeoir Fola

Post by Ciaran Tue Jun 18, 2019 7:53 pm

Tairgeoir Fola are noctural beasts who receive severe burns or blindness when in contact with sunlight, due to the lack of melatonin in their bodies, though there are artifacts hidden throughout the world that can solve that problem. They do have beating hearts, and the main reason they feed is because they cannot produce blood on their own. The minimum a Tairgeoir Fola needs to feed is 8 times a year.

    Tairgeoir Fola Subspecies
    Psychic
These Tairgeoir Fola feed directly off the lifeforce of other creatures by skin to skin contact. They tend to have smaller fangs as they are unneeded.

    Blood
The typical Tairgeoir Fola who uses their fangs to take blood from other creatures. Males tend to have larger fangs while females have more thinner ones.

    Tairgeoir Fola Stages
    Ocras
Ocras are Tairgeoir Fola who have recently have been turned from a human. They tend to have a higher resistance to sunlight, burning slower than the average Tairgeoir Fola and being stronger. But in exchange they have a higher bloodlust and must drink more frequently.  They can only drink human blood for the first few months, as it can be the most nutritious, but after a few months, they can drink a combination of human and animal blood if they dislike the fact of drinking human blood. They will often remain by their creators, though some have gone off on their own, with varying success. A fledgling's teeth are all pointed, with no molars to be found.

    Iomlán
While weaker than when a fledgling, Iomlán are Tairgeoir Fola who have matured to have a lessened bloodlust and need to feed less frequently and on more variety. If they so choose, they can survive solely off animal blood. These Tairgeoir Fola also tend to be able to use artifacts scattered throughout the world that can stop their sunlight "allergy" from affecting them. Tairgeoir Fola of this stage have long canine teeth on the top, allowing for more finesse when feeding. This type of Tairgeoir Fola can be born.

    Seanóir
Seanóir are Tairgeoir Fola who are immune to the effects of sunlight naturally, other than a mild sunburn, twice as strong as a fledgling and with a very mild bloodlust. They are also able to control their fledglings through telepathy to help control bloodlust. They are often at least millennia old, though a younger Seanóir can be found occasionally.  They also hold influence in the Tairgeoir Fola dynamic, as they are well respected. They can be identified by having a second pair of fangs in front of the first, which are thinner than the original pair.

    Society:
    Tairgeoir Fola Council
The Tairgeoir Fola council is the main governing power of the Tairgeoir Fola, and their word is law. If a Tairgeoir Fola is found breaking the laws, the punishment is death or eternal torture. There is once council member per region.
    Laws
    1. Do not overfeed. Take only what you need.
    2. Do not do anything that will attract the attention of the other races in a negative way. If you do, you are at their mercy.
    3. Obey the orders of the council. Failure to do so will result in punishment determined by the council.

    Clans
While Tairgeoir Fola tend to be loners, they can form groups called Clans. Clans often are a Tairgeoir Fola who keeps their fledglings serving them in exchange for them being protected by the group.
