Humans and Mythics have a long history of war, so with many mythics, especially those who have lived a long time, and with some humans, a great dislike is turned to each other. No one dares say it is hatred in fear of worsening relations, but dislike is too light of a word for many.
Most humans view the mythics and their land as a great, deadly power that roams the lands held in the hands (or paws) of beasts or monsters. Though some have romanticized them, publishing books of humans who are pulled into the world of and romanticized by the mythics. The readers of these types of books often want to walk on "the wild side." Though any who do this are well aware if the rules. Some humans are unaware and dont care for those rules and have paid the price for ignoring them.

Because of this view, they often tolerate humans to a certain extent, allowing them their own areas to breed and grow, hopefully producing more interesting items for their consumption, though if they leave that designated area, they are free prey to devour as one wishes.
